Who I Am
I’m R. A. Tutson — Rhian, to most people. Before I put a word on the page, I spent years working inside the systems I now write about: as a Florida Highway Patrol Trooper, and later as a school investigator handling misconduct, ADA, and Title IX cases within a major Florida school district.
I hold dual bachelor’s degrees in Criminal Forensic Studies and Criminal Justice, a master’s in Criminal Justice, and an anthropology minor — an academic background that shows up on every page of Scarred Systems. I write fiction the way I worked cases: closely, carefully, and without looking away from the hard parts.
